NZX is an architectural practice based in Athens, Greece, founded by licensed Architect Nikoletta Zakynthinou Xanthi in 2023. The practice has been distinguished in national competitions, most notably with the the redesign of Kolonaki Square [1st Prize, 2023] and the Park of Alexandras Avenue [1st Prize, 2023]. Other awarded works include Coastal Pavilion of Thessaloniki [Hon. Mention, 2017], alongside a series of private and public projects across different scales.

The perspective of the office lies at the intersection of natural, social, and cultural environments, with a strong emphasis on human-centered spaces of both architectural and urban scale. Central to its design ethos is the pursuit of a human-centered architecture that fosters community, interaction, and environmental responsibility. With a focus on sustainability and bioclimatic design, NZX seeks to create resilient spaces that enhance collective life while respecting the material, climatic, and cultural specificities of place.

About Us

Beyond commissions, the office’s practice extends to research, exhibitions, and publications, with projects presented internationally in Athens, Nicosia, London, and Beirut. This broad engagement underscores NZX’s commitment to architecture as both a cultural practice and a tool for reimagining collective futures.
